Erickson Lubin: I’m definitely going to try to get him out of there
Erickson Lubin said to G.Leon (Boxingtalk) about Jermell Charlo “He’s a decent fighter. He seems pretty basic to me. He beat the guys that he’s supposed to beat, but now he’s in for his toughest test with me. I can’t wait and I’m ready to capture that title. I’m ready to take it from him.”
Jermell Charlo is just a basic one-two puncher. He doesn’t really do a lot in the ring, it’s real basic. “It means everything. It means that all of the hard work I’ve put in over the years is finally paying off and it would be a dream come true.”
I think that’s very exciting because they have the six top 154 pounders on the card and it’s a great chance for the fighters to show who the best junior middleweight out there is.
I’m the type of dude to adjust in the ring, but there’s a lot of mistakes that he makes that I can definitely capitalize on. When I’m in the ring I’ll definitely be able to exploit them.
Me being southpaw and throwing a lot of punches. I’ve got good movement, I can box and I can punch. I’m better at adjusting in the ring and I think that’s going to be my biggest advantage.
I’m ready to go twelve rounds if I have to, but I don’t get paid for overtime so I’m definitely going to try to get him out of there.”
I invite all the fans to follow me on social media @ericksonhammer and @ericksonhammerl on twitter. Tune in October 14 or come out to the Barclay’s Center because it’s going to be Hammer time and I will capturing the WBC world title.”
