Kessler tells Khattab to take the offensive against Koros on March 19
Khattab takes on the Attila Koros (8-3-1, 6 KOs) at the Albertslund Musikteatret having got his promising career back on track with two unanimous points victories following his first career loss.
‘’I’m really looking forward to this fight,’’ says the 22 year-old from Copenhagen. ‘’I feel that I’m getting stronger with every fight and I look forward to showcasing my improvements against Koros.
‘’He’s a good boxer. He has a good technique and likes to come forward, but I’ve been training hard and I’ll be ready for the challenge.’’
Khattab believes his coach and mentor Mikkel Kessler has already laid down the perfect plan for the boxer to claim his fourteenth professional win against the 21 year-old Hungarian.
‘’Mikkel and I have been working on the game plan in the gym. He says that I need to take the offensive, and that I must go forward and control the fight from the centre of the ring. If I follow his advice, I’m sure I’ll dominate the fight and get the win.’’
A victory for Khattab will provide a perfect start to 2016 as he aims to climb the rankings and establish himself on the World scene.
‘’I’m not focusing on titles, yet,’’ he says. ‘’For now, I must continue to train hard, fight well and prove my potential, but having said that, if I get a shot at a title, I would not hesitate to say yes!”
Khattab fights on the undercard of Micki Nielsen’s WBC International Cruiserweight title defence against former World title challenger Mirko Larghetti.
