Mohamed El Marcouchi continues his professional boxing career in the United States, and hopes to achieve major success in the near future. El Marcouchi came to America with the dream of winning a world title in the super lightweight division.
At 6’1″ Mohamed has excellent height and reach for a super lightweight and has achieved an impressive record of 11-1-0 (4KO’s) through the use of technical boxing skills and great power with both hands. “The United States is the Mecca of boxing. This is where the biggest fights happen and I’m hoping for a major fight soon so I can show the world my talent,” said El Marcouchi.
Mohamed had a fight scheduled for June 20, 2015 in Atlanta, he left everything behind in his native Belgium arriving in the United States on May 5, 2015 with his wife Nabila Louahrani who was six months pregnant at the time and his son Mohamed Haroun El Marcouchi. Mohamed’s second son Maher was born premature on May 30, 2015. Determined to continue on the path toward a world title, Mohamed did not postpone his fight in Atlanta and scored an impressive victory over Jamar “Sandman” Saunders in a unanimous decision.
“It was a very difficult time for my family, but thank God everything went well. I won the Saunders fight and my son Maher is healthy and continuing to grow. I was able to train and stay focused on my fight through those difficult times and it made me mentally and physically stronger than ever.”
